Specify IS 303 BWP Grade (Group 1) for concrete shuttering. MR grade uses urea-formaldehyde adhesive that softens under wet pour pressure, so panels that look fine at delivery can delaminate after a few cycles. BWP is the Indian adhesive-group label; overseas mill packs usually document the same intent as WBP (water-resistant boil/weather bond testing), not a waterproof panel. Write the IS wording on the PO and ask for boil-test or EN 314-style bond evidence when you compare mill packs.
Can Vietnamese film-faced plywood be used for shuttering in India?
For private commercial and industrial work, yes when the RFQ is performance-based: WBP phenolic adhesive, documented bond tests, and reuse written as up to N. That does not mint a BIS ISI licence. Reuse is a maximum under careful handling, not a guarantee. Oil before each pour, strip with plastic scrapers, and store flat under cover if you want to approach those ceilings.
